Atrium rugs are the newest addition to our collection. These carefully hand-woven rugs provide an amazing balance between beauty and durability. Even during modern times, traditional techniques are used in the creation of these modern-day rugs, woven by skilled craftspeople with a keen eye for detail.
Jute is a fibre that can be spun into coarse, strong threads from its stem. Because of its softness, competitive price, length and lustre; jute is in great demand for a variety of applications. Growing up in Burma, I used to see my mums kitchen full of jute bags where onions, potatoes and rice were stored.
Jute rugs are available in an undyed, natural colour and you can also choose from our on-trend dyed colours to suit your style. At Unitex you can find a jute rug to fit almost any home decor, so when you buy one of these sturdy rugs you can feel good knowing that you have made a purchase that is not only good for the environment but one which will work well in any space in your home.
Did you know that when it comes to eco-friendly fibres, jute is one of the best choices?
Why are jute rugs so eco-friendly?
Our Atrium collection is easy care, being sturdy and durable. It is important to vacuum your jute rug once or twice a week to maintain the original beauty and to prolong its lifespan. Vacuuming will remove the fine dirt particles that can lodge between the fibres and cause additional wear. Do not wet, shampoo or steam clean your jute rug as plant fibres are highly absorbent. Periodic deep cleaning can be completed by your rug cleaning professional.
